After the success of the "I Love Flamingos" pattern for babies, I decided to design a sweater for older children.
This patterns is for size ranges:
1-2 years
2-3 years
3-4 years
4-5 years
I used Lion Brand Yarn - Baby Soft DK (Sport weight) in the colour Parfait Print and a small amount of DK yarn in Fuchsia to knit the hearts and flamingos
There is a lovely collar on this jumper. It is easy to knit and is then sewn to the neck opening at the end. It gives a snug fit and is easy to go over the child’s head. There is also an optional cable feature on the sleeves.
Tension - 22 stiches and 28 rows 10cm/4 inches using 4mm/US 6 needles over st st
MATERIALS:
1 pair of 4 mm (UK8 - USA6) knitting needles
1 pair of 3 1/4 mm (UK10 - USA3) knitting needles
150/300 grams soft DK yarn in main colour (dependant on size)
50 grams of DK contrast yarn
